Building the Wacky Things Store demonstrated how playful, surreal UX patterns and unexpected visual interactions can revitalize traditional e-commerce browsing without sacrificing core checkout usability. Managing an immutable shopping cart state with reactive totals, coupon logic, and persistent storage showed the importance of predictable unidirectional data flow. Pairing vibrant, harmonious color schemes with micro-interactions and quirky inventory cards boosted user delight and exploratory clicking. The project highlighted that e-commerce interfaces can be daring, artistic, and characterful while maintaining clear transactional clarity and accessible product navigation.
